If you had to sum up this past year in one sentence, how would you define it?
I would say that 2025 has been a year full of changes, learning and new challenges. We have incorporated new work dynamics and many new projects, and all of this has helped us learn a lot as a team.
Key regulatory milestones
What have been the most remarkable achievements at the regulatory level?
In April 2025 we obtained the authorisation for a European procedure called Repeated Use Procedure, which was requested for one of our European registrations based on articaine and epinephrine. As a result, we added 10 countries to this registration, and we are now present with this product in 22 European countries.
In addition, we have continued expanding the Inibsa brand outside of Europe by initiating procedures in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Mexico. And lastly, at the beginning of 2026, we submitted a new European registration for a topical anaesthetic, which we expect to be resolved during 2026.
The global expansion of Inibsa
What has this expansion really meant for your area?
It has been a great challenge, and I also have to say that I am very excited to see the Inibsa brand grow and the presence of our anaesthetics in the world. And I also wanted to mention that we couldn't have achieved all of this without the great team behind it, who work hard every day to achieve the projects we set for ourselves.
The day-to-day work of Regulatory Affairs
Apart from the large projects, what work is needed on a daily basis to keep everything running smoothly?
In addition to the projects aimed at expanding the Inibsa brand worldwide, in the area of Registrations we also work on many tasks to maintain current authorisations, which are essential in order to continue to market our medicines and medical devices in the territories where we are present.
In how many territories are you currently present?
In more than 60 countries worldwide.
Looking back
What moment this year has made you feel especially proud?
The truth is that I find it very difficult to choose just one moment. Obviously, when you receive the authorisation for the European registration or when you submit a new registration — for example, the one in Europe or the one in the United Arab Emirates — these are moments that make you feel very proud. But I think that overall, the work done well each day and the great team I have by my side are my greatest satisfaction.
